Learning Outcome #2

For my final paper, I integrated many sources into my writing to draw conclusions of my own. For example, I used the 350. org Do the Math movie and Anne Hallward’s Ted Talk in order to draw evidence and make conclusions that supported the thesis of my paper. Without these outside sources integrate into my paper, my points that I made would not have been as strong. Not only did I integrate sources in this paper, I also used this skill within the homework that we did in class. Specifically, one of our assignments we had to do in class was creating four TRIAC paragraphs. Within these paragraphs we had to pull evidence from a specific source and be able to explain the meaning of the quote, why its important, and draw our own conclusions. Throughout this class I have been able to take quotes from a source that support the main idea of the paragraph. Using evidence from outside sources is an important part of writing of any kind because it gives more support to the main idea that the writer is trying to get across.
