Main Point #1 (how to start the braid itself) –
- Part the hair (either middle or natural)
- Ponytail one side so it doesn’t get in the way
- Take a small section of one side and split it into three equal sections
- Begin a “regular braid” by putting one side over the middle and repeating 1-3 times
- Start adding in more hair
- Pull the braid tight so that it stays in as your adding pieces
- Once there is no more hair left to be added, braid the three sections until it cannot be braided anymore and secure it
Main Point #2 (how to start an inside out braid) –
- Repeat the french braiding steps 1-3
- For step 4 we still start with a “regular braid” but we put the side pieces under the middle rather than over
- Again, just like a french braid we add more hair each time and put it UNDER the middle section (while pulling the hair tightly)
- Once there is no more hair left to be added you braid until it cannot be braided anymore and secure it
- Repeat the same steps for the other side
